JFS SV Needs Your Help To Place Our Clients In Jobs
Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley is expanding its employment services and needs your help. The economic crisis has broadened the face of unemployment. We serve several groups of underemployed people. Community clients, particularly laid off high-tech professionals, now find themselves facing situations they never thought they would.
If you own or know of businesses that are looking for self-motivated and hard working professionals, please contact Marcia Stein, PHR, our new Job Developer, who is now available to provide job search assistance to underemployed members of our community.

Jobs for Refugee Clients
JFS SV is always on the lookout for job openings for our resettlement clients. These people are often highly qualified, but are looking for their first jobs in the U.S. and don’t have extensive experience in our job market. Others are seeking entry level jobs to restart their lives in their new country. English skills vary, but most are fluent enough English speakers to interview and follow instructions.
JFS SV’s refugee clients have given much and worked hard to come to the United States. They are here to succeed, and want to become fully integrated into American society and give back to their new home. In order to do this, they need to find jobs commensurate with their experience.
JFS SV refugee clients are eligible to bring their employer Work Opportunity Tax credits and Federal Job Tax Credits up to $2500 for each hired individual. These clients are looking for entry-level through advanced positions.
If you own or know of of any job openings at your company, or businesses anywhere in the S.J. metro area that are looking for workers who are success-oriented, please refer them to Helen Sappa.
